Pengaruh Fear Effect Pada Model Predator-Prey Holling Tipe-Iii Dengan Perlindungan Prey
The Lotka-Volterra model describes predator-prey interactions, which is then modified using the Holling type-III functional response by incorporating the phenomena of fear effect and prey refuge. In the studied model, three equili- brium points are obtained: the extinction equilibrium, which is a saddle point; the predator-free equilibrium, which can be either a saddle or a locally asymp- totically stable node; and finally, a positive coexistence equilibrium, which can be unstable, locally asymptotically stable, or globally stable. Based on model simulations, it is found that the fear effect reduces the growth rate of the prey and also affects the growth rate of the predator population. If the level of fear effect is too high, both populations may decline significantly. The prey refuge phenomenon reduces the predation rate and helps maintain the prey population; however, if the level of prey refuge is too high, it may lead to the extinction of the predator population, while a refuge level that is too low may accelerate the decline of the prey population. Thus, the presence of fear effect and prey refuge plays an important role in enhancing ecosystem stability, allowing predator and prey populations to coexist more sustainably.
