Isolasi Dan Seleksi Bakteri Pelarut Fosfat Dari Tanah Dan Rizosfir Tanaman Budidaya Serta Gulma Di Tanah Gambut Riau

Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) are decomposer bacteria capable of dissolving simple carbon compounds such as root exudates and plant littter. They are part of the rhizobacteria group that can promote plant growth by solubilizing phosphate sources. PSB play a crucial role in increasing the availability of phosphorus in a soluble form for plants. This study aimed to isolate PSB from rhizosphere of cultivated plants and weeds growing in the peat soils of Riau and to assess their phosphate-solubilizing capabilities. The ability of PSB isolates to solubilize phosphate was measured using the Phosphate Solubilization Index (PSI) and Phosphate Solubilization Efficiency (PSE). The results identified two PSB isolates, BPF 2.2 and RPF 1.5, which were isolated using Pikovskaya medium with Ca3(PO4)2 as the phosphate source. The highest PSI recorded was 3,44 with a solubilizing efficiency of 244% by isolate RPF 1.5 using Pikovskaya medium containing Ca3(PO4)2. These results indicate the potential of BPF as a biofertilizer agent in enhancing phosphate availability in peat soil.
