Perancangan Museum Pelestarian Lingkungan Hidup Di Kota Pekanbaru Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Eco-Tech

ABSTRACT
The problem of environmental damage is currently increasingly complicated. Riau Province itself still has environmental damage which can have a negative impact on humans and nature. Environmental problems that are dominant in Riau include pollution and damage to coastal areas & fresh waters, damage & forest fires, flooding and air pollution. This environmental damage is not only a problem for the Indonesian people but has become a global problem for countries in the world. This damage is considered a potential threat to sustainable development because of its direct impact on ecosystems, their contribution to carbon emissions and biodiversity. So based on this, the design of the museum building for environmental preservation is deemed necessary, in order to carry out the state's efforts as written in law number 4 of 1982 article 4d, namely the implementation of development management that is environmentally sound for the benefit of present and future generations. Thus, knowledge about activities that destroy nature, the damage that has occurred and their impact on the environment is introduced to increase public awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving the environment, where museums provide educational recreational experiences through audio-visual exhibition spaces to indoor ecosystem parks. This museum can also be a forum for sharing knowledge and understanding about the environmental protection movement. The design of the Museum for Environmental Conservation uses an eco-tech architectural approach, where eco-tech architecture applies design principles that utilize environmentally sound technology in designing and applying them to the building of the Museum for Environmental Conservation in Pekanbau City, it is hoped that this will have a good impact on the people of Pekanbaru City both now and in the future.
