Perancangan Pusat Industri Kecil Menengah (Ikm) Di Koto Gadang Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular

ABSTRACT
The growth of small and medium-sized industries in Indonesia has not been balanced with a good performance system, the industry tends to be slow and difficult to compete with large industrial products. Koto Gadang as one of the nagari has the potential of a small and medium industry, especially in the field of embroidery and silver crafts. This craft has been developed for a very long time in Koto Gadang, unfortunately there is no educational forum, especially for young people and the local community who will inherit the craft art. The building applies Neo Vernacular Architecture which is motivated to revive Minangkabau culture which has recently begun to decrease its existence in Nagari Koto Gadang. The design emphasis on building design applies traditional Minangkabau transformations that can present a new look without losing the traditional characteristics of Koto Gadang and Minangkabau. Therefore, it is hoped that the design of the Small and Medium Industrial Center in Koto Gadang, which focuses on embroidery and silver crafts, will be able to become a place for production, promotion, and education for craftmen and visitors.
