Perancangan Rumah Sakit Kanker Di Pekanbaru Dengan Pendekatan Biophilic Architecture
ABSTRACT
Cancer is one type of non-communicable disease, occurs due to the growth of abnormal/damaged cells that are not controlled in the human body. Cancer can be classified based on the location of the center of cell growth, both in tissues and organs. According to Globocan 2020, 396,914 new cases occurred in Indonesia with a death rate of 234,511 and a prevalence (5 years) of 946,088 cases. The prevalence (per mile) of cancer diagnosed in Riau is 26,778 with the largest cases occurring in urban areas (Tim Riskesdas 2018, 2019). Treatment of cancer consists of various methods whose healing is determined by the physiological and psychological conditions of the patient. A cancer hospital is a place that provides integrated cancer treatment and care services for all cancer patients until the patient's recovery goals are achieved. In addition, the cancer hospital is also a place of research in the health sector, especially cancer. Cancer hospitals are designed to support the prevention of cancer cases that occur in Indonesia in general and Riau in particular. The anxiety level of cancer patients is different from that of patients with other diseases, so an environment that can reduce stress during the healing period is needed. Biophilic architecture is a benchmark for designing a cancer hospital to create an ideal place for cancer patients in the healing process. (Justice, 2021) concludes that biophilic is a design concept or approach that aims to solve the problem of space needs, in this case housing by bringing a natural atmosphere as psychological and physiological therapy. The results of the design that will be carried out are in the form of building form, environmental arrangement, space, and interior, as well as structure and utility.
