Prarancangan Pabrik Trisodium Phospate Proses Netralisasi Dengan Desain Alat Utama Rotary Drum Filter (F-101)
ABSTRACT
Trisodium phospate is a product needed in the industrial, medical, and household world. Trisodium phospate is the most complex compound and commercial products generally vary in composition and often contain excess sodium hydroxide. Trisodium phospate is a strong base, most uses of trisodium phospate depend on its own characteristics. For example, many heavy cleaners contain trisodium phospate as their primary alkaline source. The preparation of trisodium phospate uses a neutralization process. The neutralization process is one of the processes of making trisodium phospate and is still commonly used today because of the simplicity of reactor design and operation. Trisodium phospate uses raw materials sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, phopste acid. The pre-designed trisodium phosphate plant from sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, and phosphoric acid with a capacity of 35,000 tons / year will be planned in the Banten Industrial Estate. The results of the economic analysis of the trisodium phosphate plant design from sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, and phospate acid obtained a BEP (Break event Point) value of 25%. ROI (Rate of Investment) obtained in this design is 16%, IRR (Interest Rate of Return) obtained in this design is 22.76%. The interest rate of return is an interest rate that results in a net present value at the end of the mill's life equal to zero, the IRR value must be below 30%. PBP (Pay Back Period) obtained in this design is 4.3 years. The PBP value indicates whether or not a factory is feasible to be established, the time span for return on capital should be less than 5 years of operation. From the data from the calculation of the economic analysis above, it can be concluded that a trisodium phosphate plant from sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, and phospic acid is feasible to be established.
