Hubungan Intensitas Nyeri Dengan Disabilitas Aktivitas Pada Pasien Nyeri Punggung Bawah Di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Low back pain (LBP) is a sensation of discomfort occurring in the lower back area, between the lowest rib angle and the sacrum, and is one of the most common complaints that leads individuals to visit a doctor. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2020, LBP affected 619 million people globally, and this number is projected to rise to 843 million by 2050. LBP significantly impacts daily activities, affecting not only work productivity but also an individual's quality of life, including increased healthcare costs, lost work time due to absenteeism, and higher disability rates. This study aims to examine the relationship between pain intensity and disability in daily activities among LBP patients at the Neurology Clinic of Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province. This is a analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design, conducted at the Neurology Clinic of Arifin Achmad General Hospital from July to September 2024. Data were collected through guided interviews using structured questionnaires, the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI).
