Pengaruh Indonesia - Japan Economic Partnership Agreement ( IJEPA ) Terhadap Industri Manufaktur Indonesia ( 2008-2011 )

The purpose of this research is explains the influence of Indonesia-Japan
Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) to capacity building of Indonesia
manufacturing industry. This research describes about MIDEC (Manufacturing
Industry Development Center) as IJEPA implementations in the field of industry.
Indonesia is sources of industrial basic materials suppliers and industry market share
of Japanese product. Japan is the largest investor in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
in Indonesia. IJEPA as a way to increase trade and investment between Indonesia
and Japan.
This research applies qualitative research method. The writer collects data
from books, encyclopedia, academic journals, mass media and sources from the
internet that discuss about Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between
Indonesia and Japan, and the influence to the countries. This research use nation
state analysis, liberalism perspective, interdependency theory from Robert O.
Keohane and Joseph S. Nye.
This research concludes that implementation of Indonesia-Japan Economic
Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) giving influence to capacity building of Indonesia
manufacturing industry. MIDEC (Manufacturing Industry Development Center) as
compensation of Japan Government to Indonesian Government to capacity building
of Indonesia manufacturing industry. The capacity building of manufacturing
industry was realized by Japan with cooperation in the fields of basic study, technical
assistance-dispatching expert, training activities, seminar or workshop activities and
visit to Japan vactory
