Analisis Swot Pada Pengembangan Industri Kreatif Kerajinan Daur Ulang Sampah Dalang Collection Di Kecamatan Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru
This research aims to determine the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat in Industrial Creative Reuse (Waste Recycling) Craft Dalang Collection in district Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru, and to develop which strategy should be taken in the development of Industrial Creative Reuse (Waste Recycling) Craft Dalang Collection in district Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru.
This research uses primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained from interviews, observations, and questionnaire about the Dalang Collection creative reuse (waste recycling) craft. Meanwhile, the secondary data obtained from the Department of Industry and Commerce of Pekanbaru, Statistics Center of Riau, and Department of Sanitation and Landscape architecture of Pekanbaru. This research is a descriptive research, and analyze with SWOT method. SWOT analysis is a structured plan method used to evaluate the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture.
According to SWOT analysis, it can be ascertained that the internal factors influence the development of industrial creative reuse (waste recycling) craft Dalang Collection, consists of the main force factors; has the availability of cheap materials and sufficient, has the high minded leader, socially responsible, intelligent, creative, high spirited and strong entrepreneurship, and has the environment friendly business, become the main force of the industry with a score of 0.47.
The main weakness factors were the lack of product innovation, promotional and product’s marketing, with a score of 0.332. Other external factors influencing consisted of the opportunities and threat. The major factor opportunities of this business are the increased amount of plastic waste in Pekanbaru city, the regulation and government policies toward the development of creative economic industries and cooperation with recycling center in Pekanbaru with a score of 0.692. Whereas the major threat factor is the low level of purchasing power of the products and the significant amount of the similar products with the same form but different materials from the other manufactures, which scored 0.039.
Based on the IFAS table, the difference Strength factor with the Weakness factor is 1,13. From the EFAS table, the difference of an Opportunities factor in Threat factor is 1,67. Therefore, it can be concluded the SWOT diagrammatic analysis of the position of Dalang Collection is at the cell I, (Aggressive- Strategy). The strategy that should be applied with these circumstances for Dalang Collection is supported aggressive growth policy which focused more to the Strength – Opportunities.
