ALFRIDA JULINA, NIM. 1010246461, Social Capital As Existence Communities in Slum Areas (Studies in Kampung Kota Pekanbaru In Senapelan District), guided by Meyzi Herianto and Jonyanis.
This study aimed to analyze the types and elements of social capital that developed in the life activity slum communities and analyze the role of social capital in the economic life of society slum area of Kampung In Senapelan District Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative data collection through interviews (interview) and field observations. The informants as many as 12 people and is determined using purposive sampling technique.
The results showed that (1) the types of social capital in the activities of community life in the village of Kampung Dalam consists of (a) Social Bounding (a strong bond / their social glue) this is evidenced by the many family members have family ties with family and still others are in the same ethnic group as Sarek Ulu family Association, the Association of Families Minang Riau and several other family ties backgrounds in common areas. (B) Social Bridging (social bridge) in the cross-ethnic group among other social gathering, prayer groups and the PKK. (C) Social Linking (Level of social power) in the form of the unique relationship between communities and communities are able / traders in Kampung Dalam, which is able to provide assistance to communities, help them varies no written rules, but it is customary mutual understanding. (2) Elements of Social Capital consists of: (a) Participation in the network (b) Resprocity (Exchanging goodness), (c) tolerance (d) Trust, (e) norms, (f) values, and (g) willingness to hear. (3) three forms of social capital role in public life Kampung Dalam, especially in terms of economy as a source of capital, distribution and overcome the risk in trying.
