Gerakan Politik Islam Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia Era Pasca Reformasi

This research explains political movement of Hizbut Tahrir as religion transnasional movement in Indonesia known as Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia is one of the movement's most solid syariah enforcement, neat, and has an international network to create a one nations world through Islam called Chalipate. This research also describes the programs of Hizbut Tahrir to spread their thought and their movement on political side in Indonesia, how to recrute their member and to create Chalipate.
The author collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze the movement of HTI. Islam Political Theory is used to analyze this research by Olivier Roy, Kurshid Ahmad, M. Ayoob and William E. Shephard. Islam political or islamism is a form of instrumentalization of Islam by individuals, groups and organizations that pursue political objectives. It provides political responses to today’s societal challenges by imagining a future reinvented concepts from the Islamic tradition. In practice, no two Islamisms are alike because they are determined by the contexts within which they operate.
According to William E. Shephard, HTI is also known that radical, in a sense, not only fought to uphold Islamic law but more than that also established the Islamic caliphate because according to HTI, the application of Islamic law totaly could not be applied except within the framework of the caliphate. One of the strategies used HTI in spreading ideas through media, a way to controlling the strategic arenas in the midst of society. Furthermore, HTI held Caliphate Conference as gathering moment for member of Hizbut Tahrir from all chapter around the world. HTI also build nusrah network with influential figures in Indonesia to help effort of HTI to achieve their objectives. However, there has been no real result from Islam political movement of HTI in establishing khilafah islamiyah in Indonesia.
