Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Ikan Karang Pada Ekosistem Terumbu Karang Di Seksi Pengelolaan Taman Nasional Wilayah Iii Pulau Pramuka
The coral reef is a highly complex ecosystem and high productivity as well as a shelter for variety of marine organism. One of the living organisms that depend on the coral reefs is reef fish. However, data regarding the variety and abundance of reef fish still slightly. This research intend to discover the variety and abundance of reef fish in National Park Management Area Section III Pramuka Island and to compare the value of coral cover to the value of abundance of fish. The data collection was done by the method of visual census using transect of 200 m2 where the rope along 50 meter laid parallel to the coastline then made observations 2 meters to the right and 2 meters to the left. The result of observations found 80 species of fish from 15 families with a total of 5.624 individuals. Abundance of fish ranges between 1,6 – 4,52 Ind/m2. Species with the highest Individual Abundance is Chromis fumea with a value of 3,4 Ind/m2, species with the higest Relative Density is Pomacentrus reidi with a value of 58,7431694 % and species with the highest Frequency of Attendance is Pomacentrus moluecenois with a value of 100%. The results showed the value of coral cover is not directly propotional to the value of the abundance of individual fish.Key words : reef fish, abundance, species diversity, coral reef.
