West Sumatra is one of the Province in Sumatra Island that Padang capital City. Padang is also as big City in Sumatra Island. West Sumatra is haveing lost of potencies such as natural resources and human resources that show highest culture value and local custom. Some culture product such like traditional clothes, taditional dance and music instrument, unique local culinary. Nowaday, era globalization gives impact to degradation of social morality. Then it was decreasing care and enthusiasm abaut local art and culture. It gets worse culture park could not as container developing culture. Therefore, aim of this research is designing of West Sumatra Culture Center the can be container, laboratory, and display of art culture. Padang City of the most precisely as site culture center because good potency and strategic location, historic value, and culture haritage city. Minangkabau Culture Center is designing by emphasis Neo Vernacular architecture that focuses on shape of mass. Desaign strategy such as site analycis, room programming, zoning, shape of mass, landscape, interior, and facade. The result of this research perhaps produce a desaign of Minangkabau Culture Center that represent minangkabau locality value its self, especially Rumah Gadang in modern movement.
