ABSTRACT

This thesis discusses about The Design of Web-based Geographic Information System of Trans Metro Pekanbaru Route. This system is used to provide information of the Trans Metro Pekanbaru route. This system is designed using Google Maps API facilities to display the Trans Metro route and the every bus stops that are on the route. Polyline is used to digitize the route. PHP files and database are used to display the digitized route and the position of the bus stops. Coordinates that are needed for the digitazing proses are taken from Google Maps and then inserted into the database which is the displayed on the map using PHP and MySQL. This system is designed using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) approach.
