Hubungan Kausalitas Antara Inflasi Dan Tingkat Suku Bunga Acuan Bank Indonesia
This study aims to determine the causality relationship between inflation and the benchmark interest rate of Bank Indonesia. This study uses secondary data obtained from the official Bank Indonesia website, namely the Indonesian Financial Economy Statistics (SEKI). The analytical method used is the analysis of the causality of Grenger. In conducting the Grenger causality test using the help of the Eviews program. The data used in this study is data 2010 – 2017 per month Based on the results of the study obtained the results of Granger causality test, during the observation period which includes the susceptibility of time per month shows that there is a one-way causality pattern between the Inflation variable and the BI interest rate variable that occurs in Indonesia with the probability value before F-statistic -0.0257 small of the value of α = 5%. In the relationship of inflation and the BI interest rate shown Ha is accepted, it means that there is a negative causality relationship between inflation and BI interest rates, but the pattern of causality is a one-way relationship between inflation and BI interest rates in Indonesia. That is, that the rate of increase in inflation each month affects the increase in BI interest rates every month and is different if the BI interest rate every month does not affect the increase in inflation every month that occurs in Indonesia.
