Abstract
This study aims to determine community participation in village development planning and related factors in Sibuak Village and Pagaruyung Village. Sources of data obtained by interview with questionnaires and documentation. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis in the form of frequency distribution.
The results of this study indicate that the level of community participation in village development planning in Sibuak Village and Pagaruyung Village is in the high category. This is evidenced by the combined score of the fields of community participation in Sibuak Village with an average of 69.82%. The score of community participation in village development planning in Pagaruyung Village also belongs to the high category as evidenced by the combined score of areas of community participation with an average of 63.5%. However, if seen from the community participation score in each of the fields in development planning that has been carried out, it has been found that the percentages in Sibuak Village are always higher than Pagaruyung Village.
Some factors related to community participation in village development planning in Sibuak Village and Pagaruyung Village are age, gender, education, employment and length of residence.
