Strategi Komunikasi Kelompok Sadar Wisata Dalam Mengelola Objek Wisata Pulau Cinta Teluk Jering Kabupaten Kampar
Pulau Cinta tourism destination is a community based tourist destinastion located in Kampar Regency and has become a tourist destination with highest number of visits in the regency for two years, in 2018 with 362.787 visitors and in 2019 wirh 345.000 visitors. Kelompok Sadar Wisata Teluk Jering as a community group is considered to have succeeded in developing and managing the tourism potential in Teluk Jering Village. This study aims to find out how the communication strategies by Kelompok Sadar Wisata Teluk Jering include: communicator strategies, communicant strategies, message strategies and media channel selection strategies in an effort to manage the tourist destination.
The research method used in this research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach. The research was conducted in Teluk Jering Village, Teluk Kenidai Subdistrict, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. Research subjects were nine informants who were selected by purposive technique. Data collection by interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis by Huber and Miles model. Data validity using participant extension and triangulation.
The result of the study show that the communication strategy of Kelompok Sadar Wisata Teluk Jering in determining communicators is to choose people who have extensive knowledge about Teluk Jering, that is following tourism training and experience in managing community tourism objects. There are two communicants, Teluk Jering residents as primary communicants and visitors as the secondary communicants. Message strategy used is persuasive message and informative message. Kelompok Sadar Wisata Teluk Jering uses interpersonal communication channels in communicating with primary communicants and using outdoor media such as billboard also using social media such as facebook and instagram as media of promotion for secondary communicants.
