Profil Pasien Kanker Paru Adenokarsinoma Yang Dilakukan Pemeriksaan Egfr Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2015-2019
Lung adenocarcinoma are closely associated with genetic changes, one of the
most common changes occurring is Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR)
mutations. Expression of EGFR mutations varies according to different
race/ethnics. Riau as one of the Province in Indonesia with ethnic diversity, which
may influence the discrepancies of EGFR mutations incidence in lung cancer
patients in Riau. This study aims to determine the profile of adenocarcinoma lung
cancer patients performed EGFR test at Arifin Achmad General Hospital of Riau
Province between 2015-2019. This was a retrospective descriptive study. Seventy
three of 147 patients with adenocarsinoma lung cancer were tested for EGFR
mutation. Result showed that 29 patients (39,73%) had EGFR mutations.
Seventeen out of 29 subjects (58,6%) with EGFR mutation were at stages IVA of
lung adenocarcinoma. Most subjects with EGFR mutation were ≥40 years old
(89,66%), male gender (65,52%) of Malay ethnicity (47,4%) and were smokers
(65,52%). Patients of lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR mutation in Arifin
Achmad General Hospital of Riau Province were mostly male, ≥40 years old of
age, Malay ethnic group, smokers and most occurance found in stage IVA.
