Strategi Pembinaan Guru Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan Di Smp Islam Abdurrab Pekanbaru
This study aims to describe the Teacher Development Strategy to Improve
Education Quality at Abdurrab Islamic Junior High School Pekanbaru, including
Planning (Plan), Implementation (Do), Evaluation (Check), and Follow-up (Act).
Descriptive qualitative method and case study approach are used for this study,
while interviews and documentation are used for the data collection technique.
The data analysis technique followed the flow model of Miles and Huberman.
The results showed that the Abdurrab Foundation, especially the Abdurrab
Islamic Middle School, used the PDCA cycle in its teacher development program.
Teachers and staff under the AIS foundation have quality standards and are
required to continue to develop which is facilitated by the foundation. The
planning carried out is conceptualized and appropriate with the needs of the
teachers and staff as stated in the ABSTRAC curriculum.
In the implementation of teacher development, a program of activities
carried out by teachers such as Teacher Schools, Islamization of Education, RAB
VALUES, MGMP, Teacher Tahsin, Teacher Workshops, Teacher Plenary /
Teacher Upgrading. The evaluation is conducted after completion of activities.
To succeed in the activities, teachers must be open-minded, curious, inquisitive,
and a technologically literate. The evaluation materials that have been collected
will be followed up by the Abdurrab Islamic Junior High School and the AIS
foundation by finding solutions to problems that have been known from the
evaluation stage and standardizing programs that are deemed to have been
implemented well.
