Manajemen Ekstrakurikuler Bidang Seni Untuk Pengembangan Diri Siswa Di SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru
This study aims to analyze: 1) planning extracurricular activities in the
field of art for self-development of students at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru. 2)
organizing extracurricular activities in the field of art for self-development of
students at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru. 3) actuating of extracurricular activities in
the field of art for student self-development at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru. 4)
controlling of extracurricular activities in the field of art for self-development of
students at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru. The type of research and the type of data
are descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using the method of
observation, interviews, and documents. Informants/subjects in the study were
principals, supervising teachers, and representatives of parents/guardians of
students.
The results of the study: (1) Planning for extracurricular activities in the
field of art for student self-development at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru is carried out
at the beginning of every even semester by holding meetings at schools to discuss
participants, teachers, infrastructure, funds, and schedule of activities. The
parties involved in the meeting are the principal, deputy principal, coordinator of
extracurricular activities, and teachers/supervisors of extracurricular activities.
The school captures the needs, talents, and interests of students, and appoints
teachers who are competent in their fields. Funding for extracurricular activities
in the field of art is borne by BOS funds and social funds from the parents of the
students concerned. (2) Organizing extracurricular activities in the field of art for
student self-development at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru is carried out by providing
the necessary equipment and trainers and accompanying teachers. The school
forms its organizational structure based on school meetings, each branch has its
coordinator, accompanying teachers, and members who have been assigned a
structure of authority and coordination mechanism taking into account the basic
abilities of the school. The school formulates, determines methods and
procedures, conducts training, and educates the workforce. The school also
brings in coaches from outside who are up to date. (3) Actuating of
extracurricular activities in the field of art for student self-development at SD
Negeri 36 Pekanbaru has been carried out 5 days a week for 2 hours, at 15.00-
17.00 WIB. (4) Controlling of extracurricular activities in the arts for student selfdevelopment
at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru has been carried out by the principal by
requesting a report orally and in writing from the supervising teacher, so that
their activities can be evaluated, and assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of
extracurricular activities in the arts.
The conclusion that can be drawn is that the management of
extracurricular arts for students' self-development at SD Negeri 36 Pekanbaru is
good. It is necessary to use time at the beginning of the school year to plan
activities, so that they have more time to implement them.
