Pengaruh Lama Perendaman Entres Tanaman Tin (Ficus Carica L.) Dengan Filtrat Bawang Merah Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Hasil Sambung Pucuk
ABSTRACT
Fig (Ficus carica L.) is a fruit producing plant of the Moraceae family from West Asia. Fig can be propagated by grafting to meet market demand. Shallot contain growth regulators that can affect the success rate of grafting. This study aimed to determine the effect of immersion fig scions with shallot filtrate and to obtain the best immersion time on the growth of fig plants. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru from October 2021 to January 2022. This study was conducted using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were without immersion, 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. Observation parameters were shoots emergence time, number of leaves, shoots length, number of shoots, shoots diameter and percentage of live plants. The results of this study showed that the immersion of fig shoots with shallot filtrate 75% had a significant effect on the parameters of shoots emergence time and number of leaves, and had no significant effect on the parameters of shoots length, number of shoots, shoots diameter and percentage of live plants. Immersion fig scions with shallot filtrate 75% for 30 minutes is the best immersion time for the growth of fig plants.
