ABSTRACT
Currently, LPG is no longer a luxury item for the people, it has even become a
basic need for people from all walks of life. However, due to the frequent
occurrence of fires and poisoning caused by gas leaks, this condition is very
frightening for the community. Based on this problem, the researchers proposed
an application-based LPG gas leak safety system deviceBlink. The proposed tool
is composed of MQ-5 sensors, servo motors,buzzer and LCD. Sensor reading
results on smartphone android obtained via NodeMCU successfully sends a
signal on the applicationBlink.Tool testing in this study was carried out on LPG
gas located in residents' houses on Jl. Labersa cafa villa housing No.a19,
Pekanbaru Riau within 7 days. The test method was carried out 3 times a day at 8
am, 12 noon and 4 pm.Based on the reading results obtained through
notifications onBlink,find that only one sensor detected LPG gas levels during the
7 days of testing.This shows that the proposed tool effectively operates properly
and has succeeded in increasing efficiency in securing LPG gas leaks.
