Tingkat Stres Pada mahasiswa Tahap Profesi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau
The transition process from academic program into clinical program and
other problems that come up as the result of a student’s interaction with the
clinical education environment may cause stress to the student. This stress will
influence both the students’ learning achievement and the health of medical
students. A descriptive research was conducted with a cross sectional study
design by using questionnaires. The questionnaires were given to all clinical stage
students of Faculty of Medicine University of Riau, and then they were analyzed
manually to find the means. From 105 students, it is found that academic and
personal stress levels were varied from moderate to not stressed among
departments while social stress levels was between mild to not stressed. The
academic and personal stress levels in major group department were higher than
in minor group department, but there were not any differences between major and
minor group department on social stress levels. There were not any differences
between the academic, personal, and social stress levels of male and female
University of Riau medical students of the clinical stage. The same result was also
applied to first and second year clinical stage students. The students who live with
their family showed the academic and personal stress levels were lower than
those who live with their relatives or in hostel, but there were not any differences
among students’ residences on social stress levels
