Karakter Agronomi Tanaman Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.) Galur 3 Dan 6 Asal Kampar Pada Generasi Kelima
Mungbean plants of Kampar G3 and G6 strain in fourth generation the potential plants to be developed. The G3 produces largest number of pods in plant and largest number of seeds in pod. While the G6 strain produces heaviest pod weights. Therefore the purpose of this research was to determine the agronomic characteristics of mungbean originated from strains 3 and 6 in fifth generation. This research was carried out from February to July 2017 in the Biology garden and Genetics laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Science,University of Riau. This research contains 3 strains of mungbean, which are G0 (eldest) with amount of 100 plants, G3 and G6 has 250 plants for each strain. The plant height, number of productivity branches, flowering time, harvest time, number of pods, pod length, weight of seeds, weight of 100 seeds, color of pods and sparkle seeds were observed. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further test using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results show a significant differences in the number of seeds, harvest time, and weight of 100 seeds. Heritability values tend to be moderate ranged from 0,460 to 0,917. G3 line is a plant with the largest number of pods and largest number of seeds per pod. The G6 strain has a relatively stable pod colour compared to the G0 and G3 line. The G3 line could be a parental in mungbean breeding program and pod color on G6 line should be seen stability in the next generation.
