Sensitivitas Ekstrak Kulit Nanas (Ananas Comosus) Terhadap Bakteri Edwardsiella Tarda
ABSTRACT
Pineapple peel (Ananas comosus) was an organic waste that can be used as an antimicrobial / antibacterial because it contains secondary metabolites, such as flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. Edwardsiella tarda was pathogen that can cause diseases in cultured fish. The research aimed to determine the sensitivity of pineapple peel extract (A. comosus) in inhibit the growth of E. tarda, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration, and the lethal dose (LD50) of pineapple peel extract (A. comosus) against catfish (Clarias gariepinus) by immersion for 24 hours. The concentration of pineapple peel extract was use 100%-10% and oxytetracycline antibiotic was use as a control. The results showed that the sensitivity of pineapple peel extract against E. tarda ranged from 6,13 mm – 14,78 mm, at a concentration of 18% was determined as the MIC value with a bacterial density 265,33 CFU / mL, and LD50 consentration of pineapple peel extract (A. comosus) against catfish (C. gariepinus) by immersion for 24 hours on 17,24%.
