Penerapan Metode Quality Control Circle (Qcc) Untuk Mengendalikan Kualitas Produk Rekondisi Crusher Knife (Studi Kasus Pada Pt. Andritz Pekanbaru)

PT. Andrtitz Pekanbaru is a Pulp and Paper machine component company, having problems with the quality of the Crusher Knife items. Defect in Crusher Knife reconditioning process becomes a quality problem at PT. Andritz Pekanbaru. Improvements in terms of the process are needed to reduce the number of defects that occur using the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method. Quality Control Circle is quality control that is focused on the process of Plan, Do, Check, Action and based on seven tools. The purpose of this study is to propose improvements and implement improvements and evaluate the results of improvements. The research will be carried out with 8 stages of PDCA, namely determining the theme, determining the title, finding the source of the problem, solving the problem plan, implementing, evaluating, standardizing, and determining the next plan. After observing the Crusher Knife reconditioning process, there were 10 defects that occurred in the Crusher Knife reconditioning process, which were porosity 673 cases, curling tip 78 cases and 57 fewer cases followed. Repairs are carried out using the QCC method and repairs are made as a guide or reference when carrying out Crusher Knife reconditioning work. The results of improvements made proved to reduce the percentage of total defect porosity from 13% to 2%. Decrease in defect porosity by 11% and it can be concluded that the repairs made successfully.
