Pengaruh Pupuk Kandang Sapi Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Terung Ungu (Solanum Melongena L.) Pada Berbagai Jarak Tanam
Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a seasonal plant that belongs to the Solanaceae family. Every 100 g of fresh eggplant contains water, energy, carbohydrate protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium and vitaminC. The market potential of eggplant can be seen from the price that is affordable by the community so that it opens up greater opportunities for farmers. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Jalan Bina Widya km 12.5 Simpang Baru, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in the form of a 3x3 factorial complete randomized design (CRD) experiment with 3 replications. Factor I is the planting distance (J) which consists of 3 levels, namely: J1 = 70 cm x 50 cm J2 = 70 cm x 60 cm and J3 = 70 cm x 70 cm. Factor II is the dose of cow manure (K) which consists of 3 levels, namely: K1 = 7.5 tons.ha-1 (6.3 kg per plot), K2 = 15 tons.ha-1 (12.6 kg per plot) and K3 = 22.5 tons.ha-1 (18.9 kg per plot). The results showed that there was no interaction between various spacing and cow manure on all observation parameters. The use of a spacing of 70 cm x 60 cm was able to increase the growth and production of purple eggplant plants in the parameters of plant height, fruit length, fruit weight per plant and fruit weight per plot. The application of cow manure 22.5 t.ha-1 is able to increase the growth and production of purple eggplant plants in the parameters of plant height, number of fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit weight per plant and fruit weight per plot.
