Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Question Student Have berbantukan Laboratorium Virtual untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep dan Komunikasi Lisan Siswa pada Materi Zat dan Perubahnya Di Kelas VII SMPN 10 Tapung
This study aims to improve students ' understanding of concepts and oral communication skills through the implementation of the Question Student Have (QSH) learning model assisted by a virtual laboratory on Substances and their changes in the seventh grade of junior high school. The main problem faced is the low understanding of science concepts and the lack of oral communication skills of students due to monotonous learning methods and limited laboratory facilities.
The research method used quasi-experiment with posttest control group design. Sampling technique is done by random sampling, involving two classes of five classes in SMPN 10 Tapung. The experimental class used virtual laboratory-assisted QSH models (PhET Simulation and Olabs), while the control class used conventional learning. Learning tools, such as teaching modules and worksheets learners (LKPD), validated by experts using a Likert scale with validation results on the category of highly valid..
The results showed that students in the experimental class experienced a significant increase compared to the control class. The average value of understanding the concepts of experimental class students is 86.5, higher than the control Class of 75.8. In oral communication, students of the experimental class were more active, boldly asked questions (75%), answered questions straightforwardly and politely (80%), and conveyed and responded to ideas (78%). Statistical analysis with an independent t-test showed a p value < 0.05, which confirms the effectiveness of the virtual laboratory-assisted QSH model.
In conclusion, the implementation of virtual laboratory-assisted QSH models is effective in improving students ' understanding of concepts and oral communication. This Model is recommended as an alternative to innovative science learning, especially in overcoming the limitations of conventional laboratories and encouraging active student interaction.
