Analisis Semiotika Makna Mural Karya Komunitas Curva Nord 1955 Di Kota Pekanbaru

The presence of the Curva Nord 1955 murals in Pekanbaru has recently become increasingly popular. This community, which was formed in 2012 and dominated by teenagers, chose mural media to show their existence and loyalty in supporting their favorite club namely PSPS Pekanbaru. Based from this case, this research was conducted to analyze the meaning of interpretans, object, and signs contained in murals by the Curva Nord 1955 community in the Pekanbaru city.
This research use qualitative method with the analysis presentation of semiothic Charles Sanders Peirce. The Object of this research is the murals created by Curva Nord 1955 community in the Pekanbaru city. The Subject of this research are determined three murals entitled Gladiator Panam Squadra, Panglima Nord Senapelan, and We are Ultras. The techniques used for data collection is documentation for determination the location and the actual picture of the murals. Literature review for reference of the analysis and the interview for support the argmentation of the analysis.
Based on the result of this research are found first, the meaning of the murals message as it representament is that each colours displayed int the murals by the Curva Nord 1955 community is a characteristic of the community itself and their favorite club, PSPS Pekanbaru. Second, the meaning of the object in the murals by the Curva Nord 1955 community is as amedium for the community’s self existence. Third, the meaning of the interpretant tn the murals by the Curva Nord 1955 is to commemorate a certain moment and the location and placement of the murals are usually easily accessible by recident and obtained permission from related parties.
