Penerapan Prinsip – Prinsip Good Corporate Governance Oleh Pt. Pln ( Persero ) Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di Kota Pekanbaru

PT. PLN (Persero) as a State-Owned Enterprise has an obligation to
implement the Good Corporate Governance Principles properly in accordance
with the Regulation of the Minister of State for SOEs Number Per-01/MBU/2011
concerning the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance Principles in
SOEs. However, in reality the implementation of the principles of Good
Corporate Governance has not been fully implemented properly. This is because,
during the COVID-19 pandemic, there were several problems that caused many
complaints from the public. The purpose of this study was to determine the
application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance by PT. PLN
(Persero) during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Pekanbaru City.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. In this study,
the researcher uses the theory of Good Corporate Governance from the
Organization for Economics Corporation and Development (OECD) (1999),
which is based on 5 indicators, namely transparency, accountability,
responsibility, independence, and fairness. The data collection techniques used in
this study are: interviews, observations and documentation studies.
The results of the study indicate that the application of the principles of
Good Corporate Governance by PT. PLN (Persero) during the COVID-19
pandemic in Pekanbaru City was not optimal. This can be seen from the nonimplementation
of three indicators of the implementation of Good Corporate
Governance based on the regulation of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises
Per-01/MBU/2011, namely the indicators of Transparency, Accountability, and
Responsibility. As for the indicators of Independence and indicators of Fairness,
the implementation of the principles has been going quite well.
