Pelaksanaan Electronic Goverment Di Kota Bukittinggi Tahun 2019-2020

E-government relates to the use of information technology (such as wide area networks, internet
and mobile computing) by government organizations that have the ability to form relationships with
citizens, businesses, and other organizations in government. The city of Bukittinggi in 2017 has begun to
try to implement e-government reforms in terms of government services. One of his efforts is to initiate
242 applications and websites and innovate an online portal called Bukittinggi Smart. Management in
terms of innovation towards the implementation of Electronic Government in the City of Bukittinggi is
under the Communication and Information Service but in terms of its implementation, it does not escape
the intervention of another OPD, namely BAPPEDA as the Regional Planning and Development Agency.
The need for online-based access to information for both the public and the government continues to
increase, while the innovation is still in the process and experiencing several obstacles. This of course
should be a serious concern for the Bukittinggi City government.
The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of Electronic Government in
Bukittinggi City in 2019-2020. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. In
collecting data, the author uses interview and documentation techniques. The result of this research is
that the implementation of Electronic Government in the City of Bukittinggi is carried out by the
Department of Communication and Information of the City of Bukittinggi. Various efforts have been made
but cannot be separated from the inhibiting factors, namely the unfinished stronger legal umbrella related
to the development of ICT and urban renewal to become and still have strong control of the central
government in making applications, causing diskominfo confusion to publish new innovations, and also
the lack of human resources. who are qualified both at the Diskominfo and at each OPD to manage the
existing website.
