Analisis Miskonsepsi Peserta Didik Menggunakan Four-Tier Diagnostic Test Pada Materi Reaksi Reduksi Dan Oksidasi Serta Tata Nama Senyawa Kelas X SMA/MA Sederajat
The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of the Four Tier Diagnostic Test instrument , to find out what concepts students had misconceptions about and what percentage of misconceptions experienced by students at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru on the material of reduction and oxidation reactions and compound nomenclature. This research uses descriptive analysis method with quantitative approach. Samples in this research were 104 people from class XI MIPA selected by the technique of simple random sampling . The data collection method in this study used a validation sheet and a test sheet. The validation sheet is used to analyze the feasibility of the Four Tier Diagnostic Test instrument, while the test sheet containing the Four Tier Diagnostic Test questions is used to analyze the misconceptions that occur in students. The instrument's feasibility analysis was carried out by testing the validity of the questions, the reliability of the questions, the level of difficulty and the differentiating power. Meanwhile, the analysis of students' misconceptions was carried out through the stages of collecting data, calculating the percentage of misconceptions and determining the category of students' misconceptions.
The results of the feasibility analysis shows that the instrument Four Tier Diagnostic Test declared invalid by the validity of the content of 96.97%, and the construct validity obtained 20 valid items with a value of rcount > 0.444. The reliability of the instrument was stated as reliable with a value of 0.894 which was categorized as very high reliability, 5 items obtained with sufficient discrepancy and 15 items with good discriminating power, the difficulty level was 3 questions with easy difficulty level and 17 questions with moderate difficulty level. The results of the analysis of misconceptions showed that students experienced misconceptions on the material of reduction and oxidation reactions as well as the nomenclature of compounds, namely the concept of reduction and oxidation reactions with a percentage of 28.85%, the concept of determining the oxidation number with a percentage of 35.58%, the concept of a redox reaction equation with a percentage of 28.85%. percentage of 45.83%, the concept of types of redox reactions with a percentage of 37.74% and the concept of nomenclature of compounds with a percentage of 35.82%. The percentage of students' misconceptions as a whole was obtained by 36.76% with the category of moderate misconceptions.
