Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Snowball Throwing Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas V SDN 03 Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the low social studies learning result of fifth grade students at SDN 03 Pekanbaru with an average 67.20. Therefore, this research aims to determine the significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class using the Snowball Throwing learning model and the control class using the conventional learning model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects in this research were students of class Va which became the control class and class Vc which became the experimental class. Learning result data were collected using multiple choice tests. The data that obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics (t-test). Based on the data analysis of learning result, obtained tcount 0.625 while ttable is 1.693 with 0.05 significant level, it means that tcount is smaller than ttable (tcount < ttable). Judging from the outcomes of the average learning result, the experimental class got 72.64 which is greater than the average learning result of the control class which is 57.5. It can be concluded that the Snowball Throwing learning model has effects on the social studies learning result of the fifth grade students of SDN 03 Pekanbaru.
