ANALISIS PENGARUH SUHU PADA OPTIMASI PROSES DISTILASI PEMURNIAN OLI BEKAS MOBIL MENJADI BAHAN BAKAR
The growth in the number of car vehicles in Indonesia continues to experience
development along with the use of oil as an engine lubricant that continues to
increase every year. The availability of large amounts of used oil waste must be
managed quickly because used oil is acidic and contains residues that are
hazardous to the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the
best variation of distillation temperature and analyze the characteristics of used
car oil from the purification. In this study, purification was carried out using the
distillation method with variations in distillation temperature of 250ºC, 300ºC,
350ºC and 400ºC in 83 minutes with pretreatment filtration using mesh 140. The
characteristics of the used oil fuel from the distillation will be tested for density,
specific gravity, viscosity, water content, and calorific value. The density value
obtained is 810.333 kg/m3, specific gravity is 0.810, calorific value is 10.985
Kcal/Kg, water content is 54.903 mg/kg and viscosity is 2.451 mm2/s. The results
of the study show that fuel with a distillation temperature of 400ºC is the best
variation that has met the diesel quality standards based on the Decree of the
Director General of Oil and Gas 146.K/10/DJM/2020 Concerning Fuel
Standards and Quality (specifications) Types of Diesel Oil Marketed
Domestically.
