Eksplorasi Penanda Genetik Berdasarkan Gen Cox2 Pada Ikan Ompok Hypophthalmus (Bleeker 1846) Dan Ompok Eugeneiatus (Vaillant 1893) Asal Sungai Paparan Banjir Riau
Selais Ompok hypophthalmus (Bleeker 1846) and Ompok eugeneiatus (Vaillant 1893), are typical fauna from floodplain river which need to be conserved. Development of molecular technique give some possibility to explore genetic marker of these fish and can be used to support the conservation and for giving protection of the genetic source. The aim of this study was to determine variation of COX2 mitochondrial sequence from O. hypophthalmus and O. eugeneiatus and to determine genetic marker which show spesies identity and native habitat identity of each fish. The DNA isolated from muscle of each sampel and amplified through PCR technique using primer COX2_SA_F1 as forward and COX2_SA_R1 as reverse. PCR product was then sequenced and analyzed using BLASTn and MEGA 6.0. COX2 sequence from O. hypophthalmus dan O. eugeneiatus obtained was 660 bp in length. The result showed 19 sites for genus marker, 31 sites was family marker.
