Simulasi Profil Muka Air Sungai Petai Untuk Pemetaan Genangan Akibat Banjir Di Kota Bangkinang
The Petai River is vulnerable to flooding, especially on Petai I and II Rivers. The main cause is that the channel capacity are not able to drain the water and causing flood inundation. The aim of this study is to determine the inundation parameters such as area, depth and classification of flood hazard for flood inundation mapping. By applying hydraulic and GIS models using HEC-RAS and HEC-GeoRAS, the inundation parameters and flood hazard classification of various return periods of flood flows, can be obtained and used for inundation mapping. The inundation area obtained is 20554.95 m2 up to 74765,86 m2 with the lowest extreme depth is 0,627 m and the highest is 1,715 m. In the flood hazard classification, the flooded area is dominated by the medium category.
