Empowerment of women so far there are still shortcomings that cause women to
be unable to empower themselves and explore their potential which can later help
the economy in the family. The PKK organization as a facilitator in
empowerment, especially for women, makes programs that can improve women's
ability to explore their potential. The purpose of this study was to find out how
women's empowerment in PKK activities and the inhibiting factors of women's
empowerment in PKK activities in Nagari Anding, Suliki District, Lima Puluh
Regency. City. By using qualitative research methods, the informants of the
research were the village secretary, the deputy chairman of the PKK, the PKK
cadres and the community who participated in the PKK activities. Data collection
techniques through interviews, observation and documentation in order to obtain
the required data such as primary data and secondary data which then shows the
results of women's empowerment and its obstacles. The results of the study
indicate that stage women's empowerment carried out by PKK Nagari Anding has
been carried out well and the inhibiting factors are the low knowledge of both
members and the community, busyness of the community, lack of funds.
