Evaluasi Kinerja Drainase Jalan Muchtar Luthfi Kampus Universitas Riau Berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis
ABSTRACT
The drainage system in general can be defined as a series of water structures
that function to reduce and remove excess water from an area or land so that the land
can be used optimally. The condition of the drainage network is very influential on
the performance of a drainage, especially the aspects that affect the capacity of the
drainage channel. Aspects that greatly affect the capacity of the drainage channel are
the sedimentation rate and complementary structures in the drainage canal, for
example the presence of water lines and garbage filters. Sedimentation is the silting
of drainage channels caused by erosion, decomposition events of solid waste
(garbage). High sedimentation rate can disrupt water flow. The method used is the
channel capacity level approach, which is an assessment of the level of condition of
each STA of the drainage network by calculating the ratio of the cross-sectional area
of the channel filled with sediment to the total wet cross-sectional area and the
presence of complementary buildings. After the value of the drainage condition level
is obtained, the next analysis uses the ArcGIS 10.3 application to obtain a map of the
drainage network information. Geographic information system is a computer based
system that is used to store and manipulate geographic information. The results of
the analysis show that the level of drainage network condition on Jalan Muchtar
Luthfi, Riau University in 2021, is in "adequate" and “good”. After evaluating the
drainage performance, it was found that the drainage network was in “adequate”
condition 3 STA on the right side, 2 STA on the left side and "good" condition 6 STA
on the right side and 5 STA on the left side. In addition, spatial analysis obtained a
map of the condition of the drainage network on Jalan Muchtar Luthfi, University of
Riau, and a map of recommendations for maintenance actions for the drainage
network on Jalan Muchtar Luthfi, University of Riau 2021.
