Penggunaan Semen Portland Dan Abu Batu Apung Sebagai Filler Dalam Campuran Aspal Beton Lapis Pengikat (Ac–Bc)
ABSTRACT
Portland cement is the hydraulic adhesive that is made of mixed and burned
limestone and minerals in a kiln that produces powders. The use of portland cement
in asphalt mixture is generally in the form of filler, which can cause global warming
due to the massive release of CO2 during the production process. This study
suppresses the use of portland cement as a filler with materials that are more
environmentally friendly but still has the same properties with portland cement that
is material where pumice stone that is a rock deposit from the eruption of the
volcano is used as the alternative. Pumice-containing material similar to cement
that pozzolan as well as can be used as material stability and has adhesion
properties because it contains silica. The purpose of this study is to determine the
effect and the optimum proportion of the use of portland cement and ash pumice
stone as fillers in AC-BC mixture. The filler variation of portland cement and ash
pumice stone combination consist of 5 variations that are 100%-0%, 75%-25%,
50%-50%, 25%-75%, and 0%-100%. In determining KAO, asphalt content this
study uses are 4,5%, 5%, 5,5%, 6%, and 6.5%. This study uses the standard General
Specifications of Bina Marga 2018 Revision 2. The results of this study show that
the increased percent of ash pumice stone contained in the mixture leads to the
increase in the value of KAO, where 6.25% for the variation of 25% ash pumice
stone and 6.38% for the variation of 50% ash pumice stone. There is no KAO value
obtained for the variation of 25%-75% and 0%-100% filler due to one of the
parameters characteristic of marshall, namely the value of stability, VIM, and MQ
does not meet specifications. The use of 75%-25% filler in asphalt mixture has the
highest stability value compared with a variation of 100% portland cement that is
the difference 7,848 kg where the stability of the value to 100% portland cement is
885,1 kg and for the 75%-25% have the value of the stability 892,94 kg. The
variation of 50%-50% has a lower stability value that is 868,44 kg.
