Simulasi Pola Operasi Waduk Sei Harapan Sebagai Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Air Baku Air Minum

ABSTRACT
Sei Harapan Reservoir is located in the Riau Islands region, precisely in Batam
City, Sekupang District. Astronomically, the research location of the Sei Harapan
reservoir is at 0025'29” – 1015'00” North Latitude and 103034'35” East
Longitude – 104026'04” East Longitude. Sei Harapan Reservoir is included in a
single purpose reservoir which is only planned to fulfill drinking water needs.
With the limited volume of water available in the reservoir and the uncertainty of
the estimation of water that is clearly accommodated in the reservoir, to achieve
optimal discharge, it is necessary to simulate the reservoir operation pattern in
meeting the raw water needs of drinking water. With the reservoir operating
pattern, the water expenditure can be estimated clearly and the distribution of
wet, normal and dry years is also taken into account so that water expenditure
can be clearly identified and the function of the reservoir as meeting drinking
water raw water needs can be used optimally. From the analysis that has been
done, several conclusions are obtained, namely the calculation using the wet year
(Q35%), normal (Q50%) and dry year (Q90%). With a water output of 210 l/sec
every year during the wet year and normal year, the simulation can meet the
maximum water production needs. However, in dry years, to achieve the outflow
discharge that is issued in accordance with the input inflow discharge at the end
of operation, the water output is varied from 210 l/s to 180 l/s for January to
March, 150 l/s from April to June, 100 l/s from July to September and 50 l/s
October to December. Thus the simulation can run because the water discharge
regarding the inflow and outflow can be described clearly.
