Analisis Neraca Air Berdasarkan Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) Kota Pekanbaru Tahun (2020-2040)

Water in human life has a very vital function. Human daily activities can
never be separated from water. Starting from bathing, washing, cooking to
elements of the human body, one of which also consists of water. One of the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is about clean water and sanitation
ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for
all. In line with the vision and mission of Bappenas 2045 regarding water
security. Water resources play an important role in improving the quality of
human life, meeting food and energy needs, and economic growth. Pekanbaru
City as the capital of Riau Province has a population of almost 1 million people.
This number continues to increase every year around 3-4%. So that the need for
clean water in the city of Pekanbaru also increases. Starting with the presence of
a government center that becomes the locomotive in moving the city, it will then
be supported by Tenayan Industrial Estate (KIT) carriages such as the
construction of PLTU and PLTG in the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) with an
area of about 3,700 (three thousand seven hundred) hectares. This study aims to
determine the amount of the water balance in the city of Pekanbaru in the existing
conditions in 2020 and also determine the water balance in the city of Pekanbaru
based on the Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Spatial Plan
for the City of Pekanbaru from 2020 to 2040.
The results of this study The population in 2020 is 983,356 people with
water balance conditions in the existing conditions in 2020, namely, the total
water demand is 4,059.45 L/sec, the total water availability is 20,500 L/sec, so
there is a water surplus of 16,440.55 L/sec. dt. The total population in 2040 is
1,622,874 people with the condition of the water balance in the projected year
2040, namely, the total water demand is 9,521.16 L/sec. The total water
availability in the projected year 2040 is 20,500 L/sec, so that the water is still
sufficient because there is a water surplus of 10,978.84 L/sec.
