Persepsi Petani Plasma Anggota Kud Makmur Lestari Terhadap Program Peremajaan Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq) Di Desa Kenantan Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar
ABSTRACT
Oil palm was first introduced in Indonesia by the Dutch government in 1848,
namely in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Rejuvenation is the replacement of old,
uneconomical plants with new plants. Tshis study were to determine farmers'
perceptions of the internal and external characteristics of farmers in the
implementation of oil palm rejuvenation, to determine the position of the mapping
system for the implementation of good oil palm rejuvenation according to farmers
and to determine the role of KUD Makmur Lestari. on the implementation of the
oil palm rejuvenation. This research was conducted in Kenantan Village, Tapung
District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The sample of this study was 80 people
using the Yamane formula. Sampling was done by purposive sampling system.
This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The analytical tools used are
Likert scale and Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) which are non metric. The
results showed: (1) Farmers' perceptions of the internal and external
characteristics of farmers in the implementation of oil palm rejuvenation were
obtained with a score of 2.80 and 3.43 categorized as "No Influence" and
"Influential" (2) the position of the mapping system for the implementation of oil
palm rejuvenation. good according to farmers, the output of perceptual maps
shows that the simultaneous fall system with the gradual rejuvenation system has
similarities while the other rejuvenation systems are not similar (3) The role of
KUD Makmur Lestari in the implementation of oil palm rejuvenation is obtained
with a score of 3.90 categorized as "Good"
