This research is conducted to overcome the problems of: 1) Is there a significant and positive effect of work discipline on the professional competence of public high school teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency? 2) Is there a significant and positive effect of self-efficacy on the professional competence of public high school teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency? 3) Is there a significant positive effect of work discipline and self-efficacy together on the professional competence of SMA Negeri teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency?
This research is aimed to evaluate and to analyze: 1) the influence of work discipline on the professional competence of public high school teachers in Langgam district, Pelalawan district, 2) analyzing the effect of self-efficacy on the professional competence of state high school teachers in Langgam district, Pelalawan district, 3) the effect of work discipline and self-efficacy on the professional competence of state high school teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency
The population of this study were State Senior High School Teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency, which amounted to 67 teachers and all were studied. The type of data from this research is primary data and secondary data for those obtained from teachers using questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Processing of data for descriptive statistical analysis in this study using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 25 for Windows.
The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the variables of work discipline (X1) and self-efficacy (X2) on professional competence (Y) in SMA Negeri Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency.
