Efektivitas Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Daun Gamal (Gliricidia Sepium Jacq.) Terhadap Larva Kumbang Tanduk (Oryctes Rhinoceros L.) Pada Kelapa Sawit
ABSTRACT Oryctes rhinoceros is the main pest that attacks oil palm plantations from pre-seedling to mature stage. Control of Oryctes rhinoceros at the farm level still uses chemical insecticides, so it is necessary to use other safe and environmentally friendly control methods. An effective and friendly way to control the environment is by using a pesticide from the plant-based Gamal leaf (Gliricidia sepium). This study aims to determine the concentration of gamal leaf powder which is effective in controlling the horn beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros) against oil palm plants. The study was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of non-factorial with concentrations of gamal leaf powder extract consisting of 5 levels, namely: Gamal leaf powder extract 0 gl-1 water, Gamal leaf powder extract 25 gl-1 water, flour extract gamal leaf powder 50 gl-1 of water, extract of gamal leaf powder 75 gl-1 of water and extract of gamal leaf powder 100 gl-1 of water. The data obtained were analyzed statistically by means of variance and continued with a further test with the Least Significant Difference (BNT) at the 5% level. The results showed that gamal leaf powder extract at a concentration of 100 gl-1 of water caused a total mortality of 55% with an initial time of death of 36 hours after application and a time to kill 50% of O. rhinoceros larvae (LT50) 120 hours after application but not yet effective in killing O. rhinoceros larvae O. rhinoceros because it has not been able to kill more than 80% of pests. Keywords: Gamal leaf powder extract, Gliricidia sepium Jacq., O. rhinoceros L.
