Pengelompokan Kabupaten/Kota Di Indonesia Berdasarkan Indikator Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Menggunakan Metode Ward
ABSTRACT
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a indicator in knowing the development
of the quality of human life as a result of development in an area. Indonesia's HDI
has always increased over the last twelve years, but the HDI of each regencies/city
in Indonesia is very diverse. This shows that development in Indonesia has not
been evenly distributed, so it is necessary to group regencies /cities based on HDI
indicators, so that each government policy program can be carried out more
focused and directed. This study discusses cluster analysis to classify
regencies/cities in Indonesia based on HDI indicators using the Ward method. The
results of this study formed 3 regencies/city clusters with cluster II being a group
of regencies/cities with a low level human development consisting of 122
regencies/cities, cluster I with moderate human development consisting of 289
regencies/cities, and cluster III with a high level of human development consisting
of 103 regencies/cities. The grouping that has been done has resulted in the small
standard deviation ratio within the cluster to the inter-cluster standard deviation of
0.392.
