Pengaruh Altruisme Dan Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Optimisme Kepala Sekolah Perempuan Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kota Pekanbaru

Based on the results of interviews and field surveys conducted at SD Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, SD Negeri 27 Pekanbaru, SD Negeri 70 Pekanbaru, and SD Negeri 91 Pekanbaru, it was found that there are still many female principals who are afraid to make a breakthrough due to fear of failure, lack of harmonious interpersonal relationships in managing emotions, both for themselves and others, less caring for subordinates, despair so that it inhibits the sense of optimism and confidence that exists in him when compared to the optimism of male principals.
It was also found from the field survey that female principals tend to allocate more funds for teacher capacity building, student learning activities, and library management related to building collaboration and social responsibility in the school environment. On the other hand, male principals are more likely to allocate funds for temporary teacher salaries, purchase of multimedia equipment, and other operational costs. This may explain why more schools with female principals are satisfied with the performance of principals (84%), compared to those with male principals (74%) due to high optimism in their leadership.
Then from the observations made, it can be seen that female principals at meetings always have a positive attitude of optimism, both in building the academic community and infrastructure, but there are still obstacles in implementing it such as female principals who have not been able to have positive thoughts in motivating themselves for the future, there are also female principals who do not dare to take an action to achieve what they want, then there are still female principals who do not like the new challenges that occur which are part of their emotional intelligence.Not only that, there are also some female principals who do not have a sense of empathy and build cooperation with the teachers they lead, which means that the female principal's attitude of altruism is still low.
Therefore, this research was carried out with the aim of to know and analyze aItruism towards the optimism of the female principal of the Pekanbaru City Public Elementary School. In addition, to determine and analyze the effect of emotional intelligence on the optimism of the female principal of the Pekanbaru City Public Elementary School. Then, to find out and analyze the effect of emotional intelligence and altruism towards the optimism of the female principal of the Pekanbaru City State Elementary School.
This research is a quantitative research, the type of data taken in the form of primary data collected through a questionnaire instrument. The population in this study is all female principals of Pekanbaru City Public Elementary School totaling 134, the determination of the sample using a purposive random sample technique with a sample of 100 principals.
Based on the results of research that has been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that there are positive and significant effect between altruism to the optimism of the female principal of the Pekanbaru City Elementary School with an influence value of 27.4%. This result explains that the better altruism owned by the principal can influence and improve the optimism of the female principal of the Pekanbaru City Public Elementary School.
Next, Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on the optimism of female school principals at the Pekanbaru City State Elementary School, with an influence value of 19.6%. This result explains that the better the emotional intelligence

The last is altruism and emotional intelligence which have a positive effect and significant together on the optimism of female principals at the Pekanbaru City Elementary School with an influence value of 37.3% and the rest is influenced by other variables or factors not examined in this study.
