Keyakinan Masyarakat Terhadap Simbol Foto Ungku Saliah Dalam Membuka Usaha (Studi Kasus Rumah Makan Minang Di Kabupaten Dharmasraya)
The background of this study is there are photo display of Ungku Saliah at Minang Restaurant in Dharmasraya district. In semiotics concept, there is connection between signifier and signified in a photo display. The study was to find out why the owner of the restaurant had posted a picture of Ungku Saliah in business place. The methode that used in this research is qualitative. This research subject was owner of Minang restaurant in Dharmasraya district who come from Pariaman. The result of this study is the reasons of the owner display Ungku Saliah picture is they appreciation to Ungku Saliah and for their proof that there is a sheikh who come from Pariaman. Moreover, Ungku Saliah picute is communication who display that picture is a people from Pariaman.
