ABSTRACT
The okra plant (Abelmoschus esculentus L) or better known as chickpeas, is thought to have originated in Southeast Asia, and has even been around for hundreds of years. An important factor in cultivation that supports the success of life and production of a plant is fertilization. This study aims to determine the interaction of tofu pulp compost dosage and pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer concentration on the growth and production of okra plants, as well as to obtain the tofu pulp compost dose and pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer concentration which gave the highest effect on okra plant growth and production. The research was carried out from June to September 2021 in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. The study was conducted experimentally in the field using a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the dose of tofu dregs compost which consists of 3 levels, namely :15 ton.ha-1, 20 ton.ha-1, 25 ton.ha-1. The second factor is the concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer for pineapple peel which consists of 3 levels, namely: 20%, 30%, 40%. Based on the two factors above, 9 treatment combinations were obtained with 4 replications so that 36 experimental units were obtained. The research that has been carried out shows that: the dose of tofu dregs compost in okra plants with the best okra plant growth was found at a dose of tofu dregs of 25 ton.ha-1. The concentration of pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer on okra plants with the best okra plant growth was found at a concentration of 40%. The combination of tofu dregs compost and pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer with the best plant growth was found at a dose of 25 ton.ha-1 tofu dregs fertilizer and a concentration of 40% pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer.
