A child with short stature is a condition where the toddler's height is abnormal, where the toddler is shorter (-2 SD) than other babies of the same age and sex. The factors for the occurrence of children with short stature are many and very closely related to each other and the causes are different in each region. Because the research on risk factors for short stature children has never been studied in the Rumbai Pesisir Health Center area and some of the risk factors for short stature children in several studies are contradictory, the researcher wants to analyze further about the factors associated with the incidence of short stature children in children with short stature. babies aged 6-59 months. This research was carried out at the Regional Health Center in Rumbai Pesisir Sub-district in January – March 2022. The design of this study was case control. The sampling technique was total sampling and obtained 31 respondents as the control group and 31 respondents as the case group. The results of the study through bivariate analysis using the chi square test showed that the variables that had a relationship with the incidence of short stature children in the working area of the Rumbai Pesisir District Health Center were the mother's education level (p = 0.01), maternal age at the beginning of pregnancy (p = 0.01) , maternal height (p=0.000), parental income (p=0.000), energy intake (p=0.000), and protein intake (p=0.000), while the unrelated variable was birth weight (p=0.155). and exclusive breastfeeding (p=0,272) and based on multivariate analysis using logistic regression test, it was found that maternal height (p=0,006 OR=1,597 CI=0,59-6.011) was the most significant variable and had the highest risk of the incidence short stature boy.
