Hubungan Perilaku Ibu Dan Dukungan Keluarga Dalam Pemberian Makanan Pendamping-Asi (Mp-Asi) Terhadap Status Gizi Anak Usia 6-12 Bulan
ABSTRACT Introduction: Malnutrition in infants and children is caused by improper complementary feeding habits and ignorance mothers about the benefits and the correct way of giving complementary feeding so that it affects the behavior of mothers in giving complementary feeding. Knowledge plays an important role in determining behavior because knowledge will form beliefs which in turn will provide perspective, provide a basis for decision making and determine certain behaviors. Methods: This research is a descriptive correlation with the approach cross sectional. This research was conducted in the working area of the Kampar Health Center. The research sample is mothers who have children aged 6-12 months with a 246 people, which were taken by purposive sampling. Statistical analysis used is the chi square. Results: The results of this study shows that from 130 respondents who have good behavior with normal nutritional status, namely 101 (77.7%) and family support shows that family support is not good, namely 127 respondents with normal nutritional status, namely 69 (54.3%) in giving complementary feeding breast milk on children aged 6-12 months in the working area of the Kampar Airtiris Health Center. There is a significant relationship between mother's behavior in giving complementary feeding on nutritional status with p value 0.001 < (0.05) and family support in providing complementary feeding on nutritional status with p value 0.001 < (0.05). Conclusion: Mother's behavior and family support in giving complementary feeding to nutritional status have a significant relationship. To increase Better and optimal maternal behavior and family support requires counseling not only to mothers but to their families as well.
